Empathy is at the heart of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and at this time, when we have so many stresses, pressures and anxieties around the coronavirus (covid-19), we all need more empathy - for ourselves and for others. Anxieties can quickly escalate into anger and conflict. If you have been shouted at, or been angry with others, around the self-distancing guidelines, check this out. A six-year-old girl was arrested and taken out of the classroom in handcuffs. Sista Vicky Dillard of Fly Nubian Queen made us aware of this.
Now, you may be wondering, what could a six-year-old do that would warrant her being arrested and led out in handcuffs? I'll be saying more about this. Go here for more. I am not going to say much more about this. I am not going to use terms like "outrage", because we already know this is an outrage. This still upsets me when I think about it.
