Check out this blog post from NVC trainer Ceri Buckmaster: “It’s so important for white folx to transgress these rules around anger”.
She says:  "It really struck me the importance of white people accessing anger and rage at the injustices that are happening and have happened".

What do you think?  Do white people need to access their anger about injustice?  Go here to comment on my blog post.

Mercy Mekinde was married in Nigeria at the age of 17 to a man older than her own father.  She eventually managed to escape from her abusive marriage.  Mercy then founded her charity, The Amazing Amazon Initiative, which helps other women in similar situations to build new lives.

The long and the short of it is this:  A white, male police officer has been filmed manhandling Nikkita Brown, a Black woman,  late at night while she was walking her dog.
Go here to read it.
If you want to know why I hold the Blogging Carnival for Nonviolence every year, this is a prime example.

Lama Rangdrol is one of just a handful of Black/African American Tibetan lamas.  In his film, Festival Cancelled due to  Heavy Rain (above), he speaks about growing up in the 'hood during the 1960s, where as a young Black man he was hunted, and  his pilgrimage to Cambodia, where he found ancient African images that remain undamaged.

The Global Peace Summit

In December of 2020, my sistas of the microphone (from The Female Solution) and I held the second Global Peace Summit.  Among other things, we screened the documentary Injustice, followed by a discussion with the Director, Ken Fero.
Released in 2001, Injustice covers seven families - six of them Black - who lost people due to encounters with officers of the UK police.  20 years later, these families are still fighting for justice.  No police officer has faced the consequences of these killings.
Please watch Injustice and listen to the conversation here.
Plus go here for my recent interview with Ken Fero.
As you can see from this poster, this is not just a problem that affects the U.S.A. or the UK.

I strongly urge you to share this with your networks.  We need to be cognizant of the fact that these events are not confined to the United States.  This is an ongoing global problem.

The Global Peace Summit included contributions from people on all seven continents, which included input from a police officer on how he felt about the kilings and what can be done.
The next Global Peace Summit will be held in December of 2021.

The 2021 blogs have been published on this page.

Please share this with your networks.  Thanks.
